It’s been a while. It’s summer. Glorious, glorious summer. My boys and I have been enjoying this weather, hitting up the local parks, bike riding a bunch (well, I personally haven’t been bike riding, but my 4 year old has!) and just generally enjoying this weather before it’s gone.
I’ve also been teaching; some private clients, as well as at a local studio I teach at from time to time. It’s been fun. In my personal practice, I’ve been working a lot on my strength. I am a naturally flexible person, and I need to build muscle to stay healthy. I love pilates, bootcamp classes, but lately, I’ve been really into doing little Youtube videos at home! I generally practice to lots of HIIT style videos (High Intensity Interval Training if you don’t know!), since I don’t have a ton of time. The videos I like are perfect for someone like me with sometimes only 5-10 free minutes for exercise. I also practice mini-yoga practices at home, and this combo seems to really be working for my body and lifestyle right now. So much so, that I’m toying with the idea of getting my personal training certification as well. Hmmmmm….. 🙂
